The House of Horrors (Interactive Caption)

At the edge of town there is a mansion, abandoned for as long as anybody can remember. There are many stories about it. Some believe it was owned by a wealthy banker who went mad and killed his family before taking his own life, others that it was owned by a mayor who slipped in the bathroom and broke his neck. Depending on who you ask it is haunted by malevolent spirits, home to a werewolf that leaves every month to howl at the moon, or the façade of a secret government facility performing illicit experiments on innocent citizens. There are many stories about this house, but nobody knows for sure which, if any, are true. It is because of this mystery surrounding the derelict building that many of the more adventurous or foolhardy citizens of the town like to break in and explore it, especially around Halloween. Sometimes they learn that some of the stories about the house, even the more horrific and far fetched, have kernels of truth in them.

Derek the Widower

Derek is the middle-aged single dad whose daughter is a college student. Exploring the creepy house at the edge of town was something he'd always wanted to do, and he'd finally built up the courage this year. He explores the basement or the library, or the main hallway.

Alex and Friends

Although they all went into the house together, only two members of the group wanted to investigate the attic.

The College Girls

Three girls, best friends since they were little, all finally dared each other to explore the mansion together on Halloween. They are Stephanie, from a fairly wealthy family:

Alex is a pretty regular high school student investigating the mansion with his friends, as a way to celebrate their last Halloween together before going off to college. With him is his best friend Tyler, his girlfriend Tamara, his sister Sarah who had a crush on Tyler, and Tamara's lesbian friend, Andrea. Although they all went into the house together, only two members of the group wanted to investigate the attic.
